I would set the transporter for 1954, when the big piston liners ruled the sky and the airport experience wasn’t ruined by the stink of Jet A and whiny turbines.

Edit: Not sure what happened to the title but there was supposed to be “you” between would and pick in the title

Fixed it for you. There might be a setting that doesn’t allow editing titles after posting. I’ll take a look.

I’d just got back a year and YOLO Spy 270 put options and then buy calls at the bottom so I can afford every toy I might ever want.

Back in time because I liked getting laid  While I loved my time managing R2800's I got to say life at 350 was also very enjoyable, so, yup, it would all be about the sex -- LMFAOOoooo

I would say Eisenhower Era as well. When stew’s were still stew’s and if you didn’t have an engine failure once a week you bought a lottery ticket.

Music was great, and getting better, and there wasn’t so many goddammned hippies walking around yet.

I guess I’d say 1953, specifically to watch my 180 roll out of Wichita.

Sixties. All those weird and wonderful airplanes; both props and jets. And Lots of sex (and good music).

A few months ago, buy GME at pennies and sell at 420 - Buy all the toys. Scud and I apparently think the same.

In terms of aviation, it's tough. As much as I'd love to have been part of the true bush flying era, I've grown accustom to my creature comforts like engines that always start and almost never fail, climb performance unheard of in previous generations, safety standards that are...well... safe. If I forget all of that, I suppose like most of you, the age of the big piston pounders, when the men were men and the sheep were afraid.

Here is an interesting question for you people here.

If you were given the choice of getting a full check out in a modern jet airline airplane or this....

Which would you choose?

Connie, hands down. Did the jet flying, and flew the big radials (R2800). The Connie is an absolute classic.
