You can see both canopies go, then the pilots.

They probably got the bill from the canopy they blew off at Airventure…

Not so sure. NTSB released a hilarious press release - I love it when they accidentally tell the
truth - and said that because this wasn't a certified aircraft, they couldn't go to the manufacturers
who might tell them what happened, so they probably wouldn't be able to find anything out.

Typical bureaucrats, ya know? Nothing like setting the bar low, in order to meet expectations.

Other video shows the turbine running smoothly at the time of ejection. This may rule out
a flameout or compressor stall.

A friend of my Dad's, Bill Baines, had to eject out of a -104 over Germany because the throttle
cable broke. The RPM dropped to 91% and he stepped outside. That may be the case here.

Or it could be something wrong with the FCU. They are devilishly complicated, and if you don't
feed fuel to an engine, it doesn't make power. You need a PhD to know that.

Anyways, all the above is worth what you paid me for it. I'm not bright enough to be a bureaucrat
at the NTSB.

Jeebus that would be an awful shock.
The details of my life are quite inconsequential...

I have a feeling of two things:
No more observers in the back seat…

Probably ruined their friendship.

Joyrides with hot seats is nuts.

I’m pretty sure both Freddy Cabanas and Mike Mangold were killed by their pax.
