Engine controls are a little hokey but otherwise a clipped wing, 150hp Luscombe looks like it would be great fun to buzz around in:

Right up my alley!!
I'm scowering the corners of the internet for a 150-200hp turbine. There are many out there, however finding the gear reduction box, (sounds British for transmission) is the weak point in the search.

Most of the turbine conversions I've seen over
the years end up having pretty short legs due
to the increased fuel consumption of the turbine.
That said, this is awesomely cool.
PS Two longtime posters on AvCan fly Luscombes.
You know their names, and I won't out them, but
one of them has a Lycoming conversion.

That is a good article. I was a bit sad to see the date. I was excited about them producing new units for $67k. I'm going to guess if it happens it's going to be another 20 years from now.
