What are the main difficulties keeping a Cat 1 Medical after 50 ?
Keeping BP normal?
Blood sugar levels normal?
Weight?
Deteriorating cardio vascular functions?
Do you keep yourself fit going to the gym ?
Healthy diet
or
Lucky good genes?

regular exercise, including weights, and cardio should take care of all of them, given a realtively healthy diet.  Im trying to cut back on red meat ( bacon, too, sadly!) and dessert to limit my fat and sugar intake.  At the end of the day, though, we all have an uncle who smoked like a chimney, drank like a fish, did no exercise unless he was running to the fridge between commercials, and lived to 102 , so good genes pay a huge role.

I find stretching exercises, such as loading smoke oil,
to be the best thing for me.

My grandmother worked a farm in Thunder Bay until
she was 103, and died at 107 (about to turn 108)
after a fall.  We all thought she'd go past 110 easy.

Genes.
