We were kicked out getting there, weather went down below VFR, no special VFR allowed.
The best photo, in my biased opinion. I found the guy later and chatted up a storm. Gorgeous plane.

I read that out loud to my wife adding, one of my pilot buddies on the interwebs says, she asked, “Is it you?” Then I showed her the picture. Then she said, “That’s not even close to smiling on the inside.
I went on to explain, “Yes he’s smiling on the inside.” She argued something about squinting. I finished explaining, “Look. He’s at Oshkosh. He’s smiling on the inside.”
She didn’t say much more but I’m pretty sure she realized I’m right.
