Looking at my own 3D printer now and all the plugs I could make for various things and holes.

Okay so I've had some time to check out the "brand name" plugs which are really over priced in my opinion.... Do you guys and gals prefer they have a string attached to them as I've been seeing online? preferred color maybe? Or is separate with handles and a "remove before flight" tag just as good?
I have a pretty good idea of what Nark wants, but honestly its getting awkward at work always having butt plugs up on my screen..... Yes I can do the older Cessna symbol, I was experimenting with multi colored prints as well so I may even be able to do the logo in color but that adds a lot of difficulty for not much payoff.
I would like to make a set just to see how it goes now so any opinions or ideas are welcome.

I think a high vis orange or red would suffice for most plugs. I attached some key ring type flags things I found for cheap (even cheaper in AliExpress) onto the ones I made.
Kinda made it look funny and I think if I’m that drunk to not notice on my walk around then maybe I deserve what’s coming.
Then again if your going to sell them to the lowest common denominator type pilot then maybe a flag would be a prudent choice.

Just a simple prototype to test the rubber filament and the fitting to the plastic handle, which can be any shape. Thoughts?

I don't own a Cessna - never have, probably never will - but I will order four if you make them in a very light red. You know. A pink-ish hue.
I need more obscure, dusty stuff on the shelves in my hangars.

I figured you would be putting them in someone's unsuspecting cessna lol. I forgot to mention that handle glows in the dark.

That is awesome! I am so looking forward to my four pink plugs. Seriously. They should be real conversation starters.that handle glows in the dark.
Suggestion for Gen2: blinky lights. I love blinky lights. Preferably if they go back and forth.

I wasn’t kidding about you selling them. Apart from potentially risking litigation.
The prototype looks ready for market to me. If you do start selling them, you might consider making a bunch and setting up a booth at AirVenture next year.
Although I guess the worst way to spend your first trip to AirVenture would be standing inside by a table until you sell out.

Dave: when was the last time that you (or any of your friends) were sued for faulty product?potentially risking litigation
Remember what B.D. Maule said, when all the other airplane manufacturers (Cessna, Piper)
bailed.
I'm really conflicted about the 172 going out of production. It's like a cure for herpes being found.Production of the "P" ended in 1986, and no more 172s were built for eleven years
