Cessna 421 crashes short of runway at YSN

Amazing no one was killed. When shit goes south in
a twin, people are far less likely to be able to walk away.
421 gets a bad rep from some people, but it's the nicest
piston twin I ever flew. If I came across the right one,
I'd probably snap it up.

Ever flown a Mitsubishi? I bet you’d love the thing and from what I understand they’re cheaper to run than some piston twins.

I used to fly a Turbo Commander 690B for a logging machine manufacturer and just loved the thing, it would do everything a pilot looks for...except keep up with a MU2.

If you liked the 690B, you'd have wet your pants in the 1000. It had all the fine handling characteristics of its predecessors and had a book cruise of 305 knots. I used to flight plan the one I flew at 295. Lovely airplane.
