Still no word from what I can find online.

The 421 is a real nice comfortable airplane I really liked it.

Amazing no one was killed.  When shit goes south in
a twin, people are far less likely to be able to walk away.

421 gets a bad rep from some people, but it's the nicest
piston twin I ever flew.  If I came across the right one,
I'd probably snap it up.

Ever flown a Mitsubishi?  I bet you’d love the thing and from what I understand they’re cheaper to run than some piston twins.

I'd love a moo-too.  Weird, fast, loud and everyone
says they're "dangerous".

Perfect!

I refueled one, once.  Even that was weird.  Love it.

PS  I think you can operate them under part 61 as
long as you comply with the SFAR for pilot training?

I used to fly a Turbo Commander 690B for a logging machine manufacturer and just loved the thing, it would do everything a pilot looks for...except keep up with a MU2.

They used to zip right by us coming back from Alaska.

Chuck;

If you liked the  690B, you'd have wet your pants in the 1000.  It had all the fine handling characteristics of its predecessors and had a book cruise of 305 knots.  I used to flight plan the one I flew at 295.  Lovely airplane.

Any chance Conrad H was flying this 421?
Colonel, the 421 could be  expensive to look after...
