I like a good piece of tail, like the rest of them.

Hey Nark, is it true that US airlines don't train battery-only ILS's anymore? FAA says it's too unlikely to occur?

I’m going to say correct, since I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I’m assuming emergency electrical config?
Part 23 (Boeing’s and such) don’t do that in the curriculum (I just got my 73 type in May). Part 91 GA, nope.

Yes, it would be loss of both engine driven gen's and no APU available. Down to battery power only, which varies by type of course, but only 30 mins on some of the classic 737's.

Gotcha.

I just broke 100 hours in this pig yesterday. Still learning all sorts of nuances, especially VNAV.

10 years on the bus, will make a guy biased..

Not sure what variant(s) you're flying, but I've got 17 years on 737's, and I think the 700 is great. Much improved over the Classics, and those were miles ahead of the (super fun) Jurassic.

7/8/900’s
And both max’s: -8 + -9’s.

I give it 6-9 months before I start enjoying the Boeing koolaid.
