TL;dr Canada has 50 fighter pilots to fly 80 ancient F-18's from 1980, which will be 50 years old when they are replaced (current plan).

Absolutely no shame about the Sea King fiasco, which were 55 years old by the time they were finally replaced (1963-2018).
