When asked about the emergency landing, the pilot reportedly told WNCN that “God†landed the plane.
I wonder if God can help them get some gas, so they can take off again?

Yeah, I heard about that - a couple weeks ago? - some guys
tried to get onto the golf course at the end of 25R:

We have at least three (?) Great Lakes biplanes on our
hangar row. Weird. I didn't know that were that many
in the entire state. They seem to be all Lycoming powered.

If you see this guy running up and down the hangar rows,
you know we're at the airport:

He doesn't seem to mind a one knot tailwind.

It is my firm belief that no airport is complete without a dog.

At Key West, the FBO owner's miniature dachshunds (and mine)
used to have free reign over the ramp.
Conventional thinking was that they were short enough, they
could run underneath the spinning props.
PS Talked to people today about the BT accident. Word is, it
was just simple mishandling by the student pilot, and the
tailwheel instructor let it go too far. As someone that spent
decades teaching tailwheel and Pitts landings (shudder) that
explanation seems a bit unlikely.

I remember one aircraft type where I could walk underneath the prop when it was stopped and have about 2" of clearance. The thought crossed my mind that I could actually walk underneath it while it was running. And there were times when I was outside the aircraft with the prop running, but just the thought of even trying gave me a not very good feeling on top of and in my head.
Ever been in a room where the low ceiling is just inches from your head. Try jumping. Outside the room, you can jump quite high. Somehow, once inside the room with just inches between your head and ceiling, it seems impossible to jump high enough to hit your head on ceiling(at least for me).
Digressing I know, but I'd hate to see the Daschund lose the tip of its tail due to someone having a flat oleo or soft nosewheel tire.

Made me sad when I saw that the FBO at Key West was being
crapped on by AOPA. Pauly is a great guy. People say the 100LL
is expensive there, but he would never let me pay for mine. I
felt bad about that, but ...
And he had an R1 that he would lend me, to ride around the island.
It was weird, going 100+ mph without a helmet up the keys.
What a prince of a guy. Likes his dogs, too. Oscar and Fritz.
