Ok so I'm not sane and maybe like to play dress up. Whatever. I had a nice flight jacket once and looked a bit like a racist skin head. I would like a new one in either grey or olive. I would really like a new one, possibly a hail to the chief one, preferably a nomex one just in case. Problem? Alpha industries price for such a thing is up to $1300 + Canadian. :'(

Let the games begin.
Flight jackets.

When it's not too cold, the old nylon MA-1 in either
black or green is an ok choice if you're not too long
in the trunk. Cheap, too.
For open cockpit or motorcycle, a leather B-15 is
my preference. Much warmer than the MA-1 over
100 mph but it costs more for a decent reproduction
which I suspect are probably better than the WWII
originals.
Just don't wear fucking rompers, ok? A civilian in
an ill-fitting flight suit is simply too cringeworthy
for mere words to express. Don't do that.

You may want to try the military surplus stores - the same or similar for a fraction of the new price.

And you can ball it up and sleep on it in a pinch.

I was at a surplus store once when they got a actual issue air force jacket. It was sized small. I keep looking.
Google ads recommended a nice nylon one.

I despise the nylon-esque G-1 looking jacket.
We wear a camo-Columbia type jacket. No ex of course. I'll snap a picture when I get back home.
I can't seem to find the, on line, but they're part of the A2CU collection.
Best I can find:

Another Carhartt would be good but I really want the pencil pocket on the sleeve.

That looks pretty good. I don't know if I can shop there. My grandfather was PPCLI but I never served myself.
