Reminds me of one of my favorite Pilot Tricks (tm)

Approaching a medium-sized airport, and it's
quiet.  It's got two approach freqs (N/S or E/W)
monitored by the same guy.

Put [i]both[/i] approach freqs in your flip-flop comm and
when you transmit, push the standby/active button
as fast as you can.
