Where would an individual, in Canada, go to check a Canadian aircraft for leins?

There's probably other places to check on liens on cars, aircraft etc. but a quick google revealed this one.  It appears to cost some money.

I was looking at importing a Canadian bird, but part of the "too much hassle" is trying to find whether their is a lien.

As I understand it, each province can place a lien, and whilst the "title" may be good in Alberta, a 50+ year old Saskatchewan lien may impede the export.

Good luck on your searches.

I spoke with an AME who does this stuff and his answer was that's up to your lawyer to track that all down because with aircraft this information is not easily available. Maybe using a lawyer is not a bad investment.
