What is the definition of an ultralight - I was watching another vid and they are making one with a 180 hp lycoming and mt a/c of around 900 lb that to me is in the class of a super cub or husky.

Wikipedia says there are two types of ultra lights in Canada according to cars. Basic and advanced. Those probably meet the requirements to be an advanced, under 1232 pounds. I think I was reading about certain Cubs being acceptable for the American "light sport aircraft" which is similar and can be flown with a lesser certificate to Private Pilot.
