Following is a stream of unconsciousness:

Every time I give some dual instruction,
and I wish a student knew something
before he showed up (ie groundschool)
out pops another turd, er, article.
Worth what you paid me for it. Won't
cost you a dime to read it. I particularly
recommend the roast garlic and best
Canadian classic rock memos.

Very interesting reading. Thank you.
Worth a lot more than I paid for it.

Don’t push a bad approach into a bad landing. Don’t be afraid to overshoot
I instantly think of pilots in Asia and their cultural aversion to this concept and the resultant carnage.
You can actually fly an airplane just fine with power, pitch trim and rudder – you don’t need ailerons or elevator.
This is an exercise that I would enjoy immensely. I often wonder how it would go if the elevator became a part of someone's back garden and I wasn't quite ready to shout Alla Ackbar and hope for the best.

Learning to fly a broken airplane is IMHO
an immensely valuable skill.
On 22 November 2003, shortly after takeoff from Baghdad, Iraq, an Airbus A300B4-200F cargo plane owned by European Air Transport (doing business as DHL Express) was struck on the left wing tip by a surface-to-air missile. Severe wing damage resulted in a fire and complete loss of hydraulic flight control systems.
Returning to Baghdad, the three-man crew made an injury-free landing of the crippled aircraft, using differential engine thrust as the only pilot input. This is despite major damage to a wing, total loss of hydraulic control, a faster than safe landing speed and a ground path which veered off the runway surface and onto unprepared ground.
Now that is some stick & rudder flying!
I'm only partly joking about the kitchen table
and electric fan ;D

Thanks! You simply have to try the roast garlic
receipe - you won't believe how good it is, used
as a spread on fresh bread or buns. And you will
save $$$ on condoms, too.
