I've actually been thinking of converting my TC ATPL to FAA for a while now. I have a decent amount of Boeing PIC time. I'm also restoring a Pitts Colonel!

The thing that stops me from plopping down the $$$ for the CTP course ect. is the work authorization. Despite the Canadian pipe dream of the US hiring Canadians, I haven't seen any proof....besides "I have a buddy or a friend of a friend". I've seen the odd ferry job/contract come up that only requires an FAA ticket to fly N reg. I've personally been in contact with Atlas, Kalitta, American and Delta HR. They specifically told me they HAVE not sponsored any Canadian pilots, and don't plan on doing so for the foreseeable future.

Colonel, what's your opinion? You think things might change?

If you’re under 21 I can adopt you and get you a Green Card in a hurry.
