Why this fixation on the Pitts?

Why so much fixation on flying the Pitts?


It is a superb flying aircraft and I just do not understand why it gets so much coverage as a hard to fly machine?

Heroes, valor, courage, service, character, integrity. 


Sully. Now there's both a real hero And a great pilot. Greatest stick of all time? Maybe  not. He's both of these things because under the worst possible scenario, he didn't panic. Kept his cool, and decisely chose the best outcome.


Sioux city accident Captain. Impossible situation. Never gave up, and many lived as a result.

So why all the hostility?  I feel sorry for him.  Really do. So much knowledge and understanding of principles of flight, lost under all that other stuff.
