Saw a Luscombe on Barnstormers for $16500 in Quebec,  Certified Aircraft.  Seems too good to be true; Thoughts?

Might be good, might be bad..

Earlier this summer I had a friend almost die in a luscombe due to a severely corroded main landing gear strut....

I would bring an ultrasonic wall thickness gauge to check for corrosion...  but Im a bad person...

Just heard from new owner:

Has rare Lyc 235 STC.  He peeked inside the
low-time cylinders, no corrosion, cross-hatching.

I am pestering him to install a new tailwheel,
to avoid shimmying which is a piss-off during
training.
