Time for Oshkosh Bitches

Its almost time for the annual migration to Aviation Mecca
A busy one for me this year as I have to head to Ohio first to pick up some vintage aircraft parts.
From there I head up to Brodhead Wis. for their 2 day fly in
Then on to Osh the next day to set up camp.
The Martin Mars will be the highlight for me this year . Glad I am getting to see it as it's flying life is coming to an end  :'(

No Go for me this year. Had to pay for last year's trip by taking the wife on a cruise in Feb.

2018 is next planned trip for us.

I think I will donate some money to the WCLC. So basically I won't be able to make it this year plus I will be down $15-20.

Well this time next week Ill be on my way
Heading over to Indiana (7.5 hrs) first to pick up an original exhaust assembly for my Fleet 16b and a set of Canadian built Curtiss JN4D "Jenny" ailerons.
From there Ill head up to Brodhead Wis.( 5hrs) to participate in the Hatz/Pietenpol Gathering on the 23rd  . Then that evening head over to our camp at Oshkosh and get set up.
This year is there is a DH Chipmunk celebration happening , so on the 27th I have to ferry a Chipmunk from Kenosha to Osh. for the owner.
I always welcome a new type in my logbook and am looking forward to this.
All in all looking forward to another great year at Osh.
