I see there is a guy out of Markham selling a bunch of old F5, T33, F104 and Vampire stuff.  Sounds like they are selling of the contents of Al Rubin's, (the guy that ran Markham airport), trailers.  This leads me to the title question; Did Al die?

There's a bunch of it up for sale on Barnstormers.com (sorry Scud, hope you don't mind me mentioning another site on here).

I worked out of CNU8 for quite a few years.  Al is not easily forgotten.

Yup definitely Rubin's inventory
I have to laugh about  "THE "NEW CF100"
In the early 80's , I help mount that thing on a pedestal at Hamilton Airport
It sat there for years and is full of corrosion . Will never ever fly again

Seems to be a shell company managing the Markham site and are selling off his inventory
So:
Maybe he died
Maybe the Thompson Corp have finally had enough of him
Maybe the shelll Company is him in hiding because nobody will deal with him

I don't know who al rubin is but it triggered a memory of a documentary I watched a while back..

It had some whackadoo building a 'fighter aircraft' with his little buddy and they had a swimming pool in their living room.

Im sure one of you folks can tell me the name of that documentary.
