Importing Homebuilt From States.

How hard is it to import a homebuilt from the states? I've heard some horror stories.

I recall something about it needing 100 hours flown

I've imported 2 aircraft from the USA... now transport will accept the certificate of airworthyness of the USA , the only requirement I had was to pay the tax and the 100$ canadian registration fee.
