Ok. Here’s how it works.
In California, it doesn’t rain in the summer and people panic.

I am fond of smiling at people and telling them:
“Where I come from, this is s pretty nice day”
Please don’t believe the crap you hear on the news. If there’s a place that’s better for year-round motorcycle riding and biplane flying, I haven’t found it yet.

Human experience is relative; when everything is rosy it just moves the bar of what ‘bad’ is.
When I lived in a crappy apartment the guy downstairs was a shut-in. Miserable guy, estranged from his family and not welcome in a number of stores across town. Sort of an unstable situation where his isolation made him nuts and being nuts made him increasingly isolated. Anyways, at the end of the day he really didn’t have any critical problems in his life because he didn’t have any exposure to anything, basically a human house cat. Any time any small thing happened, and with nothing really to measure against, it was the biggest problem in the world to him. I learned a bunch about people from paying attention to his hissy fits.

I think there is a certain group of people whom would really benefit by spending some time at this southern resort called "Parris Island".

It's right across the river from Hilton Head, which I personally recommend. Had a lot of great times there. Bring your golf clubs.

I'm pretty certain he could help straighten your guy out. Broaden his horizons, so to speak.
I think a lot of people just need a good role model. I blame the parents.
