How has the first year of 337 flying been?
Taken it in to any interesting strips?
I bought a plane.

Couple this summer, took the family to Nelson in June. The 8-9 hour drive one way cut down to 1.0 and 1.3
Just back from Fort Simpson NWT, that drive is a soul crushing 18 hours of driving down to 5.2 flying. One could do it in a straight shot but it was nice to get out and stretch the legs oh and with two kids it’s a must. Thank goodness I bought the range extender aka piss jug.
Got to hop out to Little Doctor Lake in a Beaver with a legend at the controls Mr Ted Grant, spent a few nights in the cabins.
Kids skipped the first two days of school. Caught fish, drove a boat and shot a pellet gun any of which would probably trigger most teenagers these days. Kid got more education skipping school than he would in a year.
Plane ran great, the long legs let me really get her dialled in with all its idiosyncrasies. She like the oil just below the 8 line otherwise pukes it out. Autopilot worked perfectly after we found some issues with the rigging. Hydraulic fluid needed a squirt. Overall very pleased
I’ll try and upload the video of my departure from the island and heading into the lake.

Quesnel has one of the best Greek restaurants I've ever been to. The Odysseus I think its called.

Guarantee my brother knows him, he must be at Wolverine.
I wonder how many young pilots got their start out of YFS, great place to cut your teeth flying.
