Was checking out the PANC lake hood procedures as I wondered why the quick turn. In the video I posed the question about the departing aircraft that maybe atc gave him a heading or route on departure.

Kind of looks like he was departing “08” on the water and crashes in the first row. If that is the case he would be departing straight at PANC hence the turn to avoid the ANC. I could be wrong.
