I was talking to a buddy , he is a low seniority AC pilot.
In approximate terms here is what is going on there..
they laid off appx 500 pilots, they are on EI........... 2k$ a month
leaves around 4 thousand odd there "working"
most of those are getting approx 75% of pre covid pay, ( hundreds of thousands a year) I think from company.
Most of those have not done a days work since last april, or have done a few hours " here or there" ...

For this situation , You are Trudeau,,,,
so what do you do about the request for bailout, cash, help etc to help out AC?....

The fact you can just fly on a US carrier to go to Cancun negates all these restrictions and screws Canadian Airlines.

I swear this is Trudeaus plan to have carbon neutral economy, why have an economy at all?

Well for one they should ban all flights from those destinations regardless of carrier.... I was not aware that US carriers are flying there from Canada at the same time we have a ban...

How would that work? US carrier flies from Sun destination to US airport B to Canadian airport C. There is no direct flight to ban from Sun destination to C.
