What's wrong with NORDO at an uncontrolled
airport? Lots of airplanes that I fly don't have
electrical systems, let alone radios. And with
open cockpit, good luck hearing the radio, let
alone talk on it with all that wind noise on the
mike.
I am suspecting I am a BAD PERSON again.

Hey guys, awhile ago I had words with a pilot who arrived NORDO. It wasn't that he didn't have radio it was the fact that he was taking on the frequency that was changed 5 years ago ::) and landed in the opposite direction to the runway that my student was doing circuits on. >:(
He was flying one of those old tailwheel airplanes, but to me he was just being an asshole.
Does that make me a Bad Person ?

....or meet a patronizing type FSS briefer.
Seems to be the odd one that thinks filing a single engine flight plan to Northern Ontario -- is akeen to filing to the moon as is such a rare event, and all kinds of commentary and dire warnings about possible puffs of wind must accompany my simple NOTAM requests. All I need, sir.
Next time just shut up and let me file....please......
If I wanted counsel, advice and handholding as a pilot, I surely ain't getting it from most at FSS. A few are good, though.

FSS? They closed most of them out west. They were good for guys like me that did not lurn enough met at ground school. There was a local guy with nice drawings to explain what would probably happen in the next 6 hours. They were usually pretty close to correct.
