I agree.
His opinion that he had a right to fly there opposing her opinion she had the right to stop him kind of turned into a weird battle.
It is funny on tape but I'm glad I wasn't flying there.

Must be my age, but I would either fly:
over
under
around
IFR
Toronto is a similar sh1t-show. If even one ATC is out, they pull him from
the VFR seat and screw all you little airplanes.
Even IFR, I've gotten vectored around the Toronto TCA. Might as well
have been NORDO.
Best way I ever learned to deal with Toronto was VFR 17,500 eastbound.
ATC actually let me fly right over their precious YYZ.

I worked with a guy once who had lived in Victoria. His buddy used to file IFR to commute in a 150 to Vancouver.

I often fly 10,500 over Chicago’s B because they never let VFR traffic in.
I can play their game.
I thoroughly enjoy watching a CRJ or an Airbus climb restricted below me.

I wonder why I enjoy uncontrolled airspace so much
As to the topic this is the first time I ever heard a controller use one word "no" as an answer. I've heard "everybody shut up" and "take heading of 270 and VFR wx is last reported 50 miles in that direction - good luck" (that was NY centre to a VFR stuck on top)

"black air has no lift - extra fuel has no weight"
