Sorry, I keep sliding off-off-topic and aviation sneaks into the discussion.  Getting back
to off-topic, I can't believe I haven't posted anything from these guys (1965-1985):

They were awesome live in Livermore, recently.

I think of this as my "Key West" theme song, that I'd play on my way down there,
when the screeching and honking and bleating in Canada got to be too much to
endure, in the winter.

The haters can have the ice and snow.  I'll fly a biplane in the sunshine over the blue Gulf.

Or maybe it's a good time to ride the Busa down to Sandy Eggo

I'm sure the bureaucrats frown on Mission Beach, but it's got a nice vibe and some good food

I didn't used to, but I've started to take more pictures.  It annoys the haters, so ...

Arlo can stop me from flying (and living) in Canada, but life goes on.

Here's a cover of a song from 1980:

Kid did good.  Audience unfortunately all died before the show started, it would appear.  I suspect Sarin.

In 1973:

"The Captain and Me" album - written by a lifer FO, clearly.

The Good Old Daysâ„¢, which is why I only listen to music written between 1965-1985.

This is terribly subjective, but I'm just not into doo-wop music (before 1965) although this is pretty good:

After 1985 music went to Hell in a handbasket and never recovered.  A bunch of people from Seattle
that didn't bathe or cut their hair sang off-key and strummed cheap untuned acoustic guitars and everyone
but me loved them.

The good news, I supposed is that they turned out to be great parents and fathered these "millenials"
we hear so much great news about.  With parents that look like that, we should not be surprised.

Quality has no fear of time  :D

Seen Boston twice now.  Simply awesome.  You don't get that good in a year, or even ten years.

Amusingly, both David Bowie and Tom Scholz were told that they would never be commercial successes,
which reinforces my theory that everything that everyone tells you is wrong.

This widely hated rock star genius continually went out of his way, to NOT be a commercial success:

One cannot possibly begin to describe his music, but in 1979 this appeared.
I was rather fond of it, but oddly it got little or no airplay:

In 1986 the lesson that he gave these assclowns on the 1st Amendment of the Constitution is legendary:

You can see why the bureaucrats hated him so much.  Their dim little brains cannot possibly comprehend the brilliance of this:

Geez Mr. Colonel. As I watch them interviewing Zappa, I imagine something similar with you and three TC guys in a parallel interview.

But seriously, It is a bit eye opening in a different way. It is quite a long time ago and a different era. What stands out to me is how opposite it is to todays media. These guys are so conservative and I wonder if it reflects how things were back then and how it has turned around completely with a liberal takeover.

After all, they are worried about videos like this,

Didn't we all have at least one hot teacher. Not our supply teacher though.

1980. A good year. Not much has changed in 40 years. Airplanes, motorcycles, cars, guns and dogs.
