What an incredible honor it was, to witness Mick Ronson take the stage
at the CNE in 1983. I'll never forget that. Plus, I was painted purple with
Gentian Violet, which really confused the hell out of the cops.
Growing up, I got shit on a lot for being different. You know. Better.
The other day, my wife said, "This isn't normal". I replied, "Of course not.
Normal is us living in PA in a wartime clapboard house, me laid off from my
union job and you working at the diner. Normal is a 2.0 GPA"
I didn't remind her that at our wedding, not once but twice - to show it
wasn't just luck - I joined up with an L39 in a biplane. That's not normal.
We had a grand meal in Bob's hangar after our flights. The caterer
asked me, what meal options did I want? I said fuck the meal options,
you're serving prime rib and yorkshire pudding to everyone, because if
someone doesn't like that, they're no friend of mine.
I'm sure the bureaucrats will disagree, but I think portrait mode yields the best food porn.

And remember, you can either get old with no eye candy, or you can get old with eye candy.
Eye candy didn't used to be so important to me until I realized how much it pissed @ssholes off, so
naturally I doubled down. Because when someone decides to show you their weakness - believe them.
My family can't fly very well - compared to any TC Inspector that thinks that low-altitude high-speed
nuclear bomb delivery in an F-104 in IMC is trivial - but we do have great hair.
