Paul Allen, a billionaire co-founder of Microsoft and a huge
supporter of aviation and aerospace, has died of cancer at
age 65.
He really liked airplanes.

A man who knew how to spend his money.

Agreed, buys a football team and spends money on it to make it champion. I hate when these billionaires just buy it to say they own something and dont do squat.

I bet there's a lot of shareholders that wish Elon Musk would do a little bit less ;D
I'm not crapping on Elon, a fellow Queen's Engineer. My son bought one of
his flamethrowers, and a close EE friend bought a fully tricked-out Model 3
and was kind enough to let me thrash on it through the Saratoga hills. Magnificent
vehicle. Not a cut-rate Model S (which everyone has) as I had thought.
Model 3 goes 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds. That's probably not very fast in Canada,
but I found it pretty darned quick for a four wheeled vehicle.
Note that I pretty much live on two wheels - sunny and warm most every day,
lane-splitting is legal - and my old, slow, little bike that people shit on (2007
CBR600RR) as being out-dated clocks 2.9 seconds 0-60 mph, which again
probably isn't very fast by Canadian standards, but I take everyone here off
the stoplights with ease.

For you guys that like big airplanes:
two cockpits, six engines, 28 wheels, 385-foot wingspan and a takeoff weight of 1.3 million pounds
A modern day Howard Hughes - without the mental illness.

That is pretty huge. I would think it would be better to attatch the tails to prevent torsion but they must not want the extra weight. I love to see this Giants fly.
