How well I am aware of that fact.
When I owned a flight school I could never understand why the instructors feared TC more than they feared being fired because they refused to accept any advice from me.
It was astounding their fear of TC, just astounding.
I had zero fear of the pricks though.
One day a TC helicopter landed on my property at the airport and three of them sauntered into my school and advised me that becase the weather prevented them from flying any further they were going to do an audit of my school.
I told them the weaher was good enough to hover taxi the fuck off my property so get the fuck off it.
They went completely nuts and started to tell me they were from Ottawa and they could do what ever they wanted to do.
I picked up the phone and called the RCMP and said I had trespassers on my property that refused to leave and were threatening me.
In no time flat the RCMP showed up and when they determined there was no just reason for TC to be on my property they had them get back in their helicopter and move it off my property.
They thrive on fear but when backed down them selves their true cowardice is obvious.
Pricks.

I have a terrible character flaw, that I do not live in fear of TC. They know
this, it enrages them, and they have made my life very difficult, but that's
just the cost of dealing with a bully. As I said to my good friend in CYND,
I would rather quit flying in Canada - which I have done - than suck Arlo's
cock - which I will not. I expect them to pull my Canadian ATPL for no valid
reason - that's expected. I am really looking forward to their paperwork on
revoking my Canadian citizenship, as they have threatened.
Like lawyers, not everyone at TC is a jerk, but there are enough of them
that they earn the name for the rest of them. And, once someone gets hired
by the government, it's almost impossible to get rid of them. Generally, they
get promoted.
I remember someone that worked for Stephen Harper noted that more people
died in the employ of the government, than were let go for poor performance,
which he just couldn't believe.
Character of an organization comes from the top. I can't imagine working for
that donkey PM. Think about the sleazeballs he chooses to surround himself
with, and it will get worse down the org chain.

Are you sure this was an engine failure? This looks more like spatial disorientation - cloud base was quite low if I understand correctly.
Just to expand on my previous opposition to single engine IFR.
There's an issue with redundancy - you normally only have one of everything.
Going IFR flying with a C-172 or a Cherokee is asking for trouble imho. These aircraft usually have no ice protection either.
I see the single engine turboprops are designed with redundancy (except the engine).
