Cooling will be affected unless it is liquid cooled

I agree with mr nostrum but, until it over heats to the point of components melting and being damaged it will not reduce the power noticeably.
The power of a motor is produced via the magnetic field pushing and pulling on a second magnetic field not combustion like an engine that requires the oxygen in air to mix with fuel.
The reason smoking around oxygen is dangerous is not because it can explode like some people think. It is because clothes, beds and linens can burn much more rapidly. Same with nitrousoxide. It's not flammable by it's self but makes a minor fire into a flash fire.

The reason I was asking is I happened to read a (for public consumption )article of a hybrid airliner. Got me to thinking that a typical engine used to get the aircraft to cruising altitude, where the power requirement is less, then running a smaller electric motor.
As electric power seems to be the flavour of the month, so to speak, a type of GA hybrid is an interesting concept.

Conceptually a design with a small turbine powering two electric fans for regional flights would make sense.
Of course some sort of battery backup to power it all when it failed would be required.
The pure battery concept like Harbour Air is proposing could work for their small short hops. But as we know aviation and rellgulations change at a glacial pace.

Edit: I just saw the fast post and it looks like scud and I need a really good laboratory with a machine shop and some funding from Ottawa for our future aircraft power concepts.
Creating a low enough pressure inside the dyson when the cabin pressure is getting low would be tricky scud. That tiny fan would need to go way faster than it usually does.
I was really excited about a few of the electric light singles being developed five or six years ago. A light weight enough battery providing the power needed to fly longer than about 30 minutes has been elusive so far.
I think an engine driven generator powering a motorized fan jet might be a good system for cruise. It would function like a rail locomotive but would need to be made way lighter. The generator could be a powered by a pretty small turbine. The heat could be used to make electricity at the same time.
My guess is eventually there will be some combination of solar, generator and battery power that will be better than anything we have currently.
I doubt anyone is spending a lot of money to develop really light higher output generators right now because everyone is concentrating on trying to make better batteries.
