I just read an article with a title suggesting that.

Anyone able to confirm or deny this?

In the 1960's it was an amazing aircraft.

He was a Pussyâ„¢ but John Boyd did his best to make sure it
wasn't a big, heavy, swing-wing turkey like the long-forgotten
F-111 and F-14, which everyone else wanted to make.

He was hated by the bureaucrats, but the F-15, F-16, F-18
and A-10 live on.  Unlike the scummy bureaucrats, who are
long forgotten.

I’m a little surprised F-15s never seem to be an option for us.  Looks to me like Israel really likes them and has really shown what a Swiss Army knife of a plane it is.  Get Bombardier to build a bunch under license to keep everyone happy-happy.

I can't believe Obama shut down the F-22 production line.

Well, actually, I guess I can.  He was the worst President in the last 100 years, after all.

Jimmy Carter was dreadful, too, but not as bad as Obama.

JFK was another disaster.  In only 3 years, he did the Cuban Missile Crisis,
the Bay of Pigs, the Berlin Wall and of course Vietnam.  Imagine what damage
he could have done in 8 years.
