First flight on an airline.
My first flight on an airline was in 1952 on a Trans Canada Airlines DC3 from Windsor Ontario to Toronto Malton Airport.

Not sure anyone will believe this, but
I remember when I was 10 years old, getting on a flight by myself from
Toronto to Thunder Bay for the summer, to visit relatives. I walked up
with my .22 semi-automatic rifle in a carrying case to the luggage check-in
at Terminal One at YYZ. I know .22 LR doesn't have a lot of street cred,
but I was 10 years old.
The world has changed since then, and not in a good way. If someone
did that today, a SWAT team and Children's Aid would be called, and it
would probably make international news, on a slow day.
I started shooting .22 bolt action rifle and .22 pistol when I was 7. My maternal
grandfather, who lied about his age and joined the army at age 15 to fight in
the trenches of World War One, was a lot of fun. I miss him. I cannot imagine
the Hell he went through. I cherish his .303 Lee-Enfield. I doubt anyone knows
what one of those is, any more.
Motorcycles, firearms, boats and airplanes are just a normal part of
growing up, in my family. You know, people the Left hate so much.
I think I might be toxic? Might have to give up shaving.
