TC wanted to call me and I replied

“Very funny - you want to hear it ring in your evidence lockup?”

They probably wanted to call and tell you to come get your phone.

Too funny.  I suppose the cops could call up the
Hell’s Angels with good news, too.

Well Andy at we understand the futility of trying to deal with some of the thugs at T.C. ,  if you are not willing to assume the ankle grabbing attitude wile dealing with them.

Thankfully I had the smarts to leave this socialist country and spent the last decades of my life working in far better places.

To me those were all parts of the same joke here. My last post was intended to be an added part of the ringing in their locker comment...

I imagine them phoning it to tell you to come get it might go like this.

TC guy 1 answering your phone, "Hello?"
TC guy 2 calling your phone, "Hello, is The Colonel there? This is Transport Canada calling.",
TC guy 1, "No way, I'm from Transport Canada too. Sorry he is not here, he left after we seized his phone."
TC guy 2 , "Oh, that's unfortunate, well, if you see him, tell him he can come get his phone."

"replica dH 53 Hummingbird" :o :o

That's cool!  What engine did it use? Was it enough?  What did you think of the handling?

I have to joke about those guys or I might end up curled up in the fetal position.  :(

The Hummingbird was built as a racer for the Kings Cup.  It had a 40 hp Henderson motorcycle engine but the replica, if memory serves had 40 hp Lycoming..  It was a dog! Took o0ff at 55 mph, climbed at 55 mph and had a top speed of about 65 mph.  Ailerons were of the two handed type.  It is now in the museum in Moose Jaw
