FedEx is paying pilots bonuses of $40,000 - and potentially as much as $110,000
FedEx had about 5,000 aviators on its payroll
Flying for FedEx is the highest-paying job among U.S. carriers, with 30-year pilots making roughly $300,000 not counting overtime or bonuses
No Canadian would ever deign to flying for Fedex, of course. There
would be no virtue signalled by living in a state with no income tax
and earning usd$300k/yr plus overtime and bonuses.
Here's a longtime Fedex pilot. Guess what he earns?

Not much virtue signalling there. Just another stupid
biplane pilot, without much skill compared to a Canadian
four bar.
Fedex pays ok pilot bonuses

Fun Fact: A BAD PERSON with USD$300k/yr income in a state lacking virtue
like NV or TX, would take home over USD$230k/yr after income tax which
at today's exchange rate is Cdn$297k/yr.
A virtuous pilot, living in sanctimonious Toronto, earning Cdn$300k/yr would take home
Cdn$173k/yr after Ontario and Federal income taxes.
Canadian economy facing deep-rooted problems as wages stagnate, household debt mounts
Wages are barely keeping up with the cost of living, business executives complain they can't compete and households are carrying record levels of debt
... the economy mired in a cycle of low growth and stagnating incomes for years to come.
the second time in three years that pay after accounting for inflation — what economists call real wages — has been flat, suggesting workers haven’t shared in whatever prosperity there has been.
That's working well.

Interest rates need to go up, oh about 3 or 4 percentage points.
That will solve a lot of issues.
At least for those of us who like to buy cheap and pay cash.

They can't raise interest rates - the whole house of cards will collapse if they do.
