Sign on the R27 approach at YRO
When I flew there long ago I remember lots of people
parked their cars on that section of the road just to
watch us land,on short final I could see them wave
and I waved back exited to have an audience :)
I dont remember ever coming close to any of those parked cars
landing on R 27 for if you did you would be undershooting by good
margin or dragging the plane on a flat approach path
Apparently times have changed

I think it's to prevent those oblivious to being close to an airport from panicking and getting rear ended because they stopped since a plane is within a half mile of their car.

NCC requirement perhaps? They are very picky.

Not sure, they never had a sign before and I believe this is
a private road to the RFC and the marina

Did anyone cut down those fast growing trees on the approach to 27?
