Just heard about this incident this morning.  Pilot had only some burns on his hands, the pictures and video show just an engine sitting on the floats.  Fortunate he was flying close enough to the airport to get it down, could have been much worse for him.

Good thing they had a fire extinguisher on board.

Nice to read he only got burns on his hands. That's harsh.

Appears that the fire started in the back - also a bit strange.

Not a lot in the back that can start a fire... Electrical or something in his baggage is all I can think of. Cell phone battery?
