I know people think I'm stupid when I tell them to

and I hurt their feelings when I tell them that pilots
who rely on the radio for separation are going to die
soon, but
WTTV reports the airport does not have an air traffic control tower, and pilots are expected to communicate via a common radio frequency.
"Pilots using the field are expected to announce their intentions on a common radio frequency and to coordinate with one another while on the ground and in the traffic pattern," the FAA said.
Question: do you think it hurts to crash? Do you want to hurt?
If not, maybe you should

Is there much of a crest in the runway? I wonder if it was the kind of thing where the other airplane wasn't visible at the start of the takeoff roll.
One of the airplanes I fly has a constant reminder to look out and listen; the wing tip bow is flattened for about a foot and a half along its outer edge. Story goes that somewhere somebody was taking off and as they crested the high point half way down the runway they came upon a Pitts S-1 taking off going the other way. Both chopped the power and ground looped in opposite directions (luckily) but there was a brief contact between rudder and wing tip. Doesn't get any closer than that.
