Well gang I am waiting for the ferry to Vancouver Island and it will be back to work.

Yesterday was quite interesting as Bob and I were invited to THE SEASON FINALE OF ‘AIRSHOW'

They even had Super Dave and his airplane in the screening / media room....flight suit and all.

Anyhow it was interesting as I had ever seen the airshow business from that side.

P.S. I found a technician to talk to and never told him I was a pilot and he treated me real good and it was a fun evening.

Chuck,
I'd say your vacation would be much better if next time you swing a little south, and way East.

You can teach me a few things about the Stinson, and we can go shoot.

That goes for anyone on this site. You're always welcome for a visit.

I'm in Milwaukee, WI.

Hows your hydraulic accumulator hangin these days Nark?

One never knows where I will wander in this thing, if I get out your way we can definitely get together for a little gun control session ( gun control as in hitting what you are aiming at. )

I got into IPSC awhile back, that is great for gun control and lots of fun. Other than the buttheads that seem to creep into any sport and try to regulate the fun out.

I gotta find something a little cheaper to shoot than my Colt Mark IV 70 Series .45
She is a lot of fun to shoot but my Scottish heritage makes me feel guilty for spending too much per bang. I guess I need to make some more money and then it won't matter and ill buy a .50 cal  :D

Hi powered guns are great but there are other very effective hand held self defense weapons you can use.

In some of the more dangerous areas of Africa I carried a 12 gauge flare gun and some spare flares.

What would you rather be shot by, a high powered bullet or a flare?

Super soaker filled with MaiTai.

Did you move Nark? I thought you were further south. Arkansas or something.

Pretty close, I was in Army flight school in Alabama.

I tricked them into letting me fly a Blackhawk. I'm National Guard now, so back to the salt mines I go!

As for saving a few dollars shooting, I got into reloading. Great hobby. I've barely scratched the surface. I've learned so much more about the physics behind the projectile.

How about going to great falls MT next? The guard has F-15s there, the nice guy with an M-16 did not like me driving the wife's trailer beside the fence to show my kids those planes.  :-[.

I would be allowed to come shooting there a few weekends per year. Especially since they closed Target here. I can't highly recommend the city but it seems like it might be an ok place to live. They certainly have space for flying and the Stinson would probably make Yellow Stone in a few hours. That I would recommend. Glacier is pretty gorgeous and it's not too far from Banff if you wanted to come up here.

This forum is getting right cozy for me. Has fleet-16b and Fenderman Dan been alerted?
