I get really tired of all the people I know, dying
in airplanes.  Put just a little effort into NOT being
one of them.

Someone recently was faced with this scenario
(see the CADORs) and utilized some training from
a very bad person to help achieve a happy result
instead of the usual fatal one, doing it the TC way.

I will let them explain the details.  He posts here.

I remember some years back, being queried by
someone about the lack of hot ejection seats in
the L-39's that I flew. They thought I was insane.

I replied that I would prefer to have them in the
C-421, for the EFATO doomsday scenario.  I am
not sure if the pax would agree.  You must admit
that it would be quite a sight, sitting in the back
seat, to see the pilot and co-pilot eject.

Yeah, that would be a real bitch if the pilots screwed the pooch and then ejected, leaving the rest of the crew to burn, wouldn't it?

I see the AvCan Snowflakes have opined that an engine fire in
a piston twin poses no hazard to the integrity of the wing spar.

There are some people that I would not trust to push my lawnmower.
