There are some interesting comments being made on Pprune about the final report on that accident, or hard landing as AC described it.
It would be really nice if Rockie or atphat would join this forum and give us their insiders opinion.
As for my opinion it would not surprise me in the least that their report was biased towards AC from my personal dealings in a fatal accident they interviewed me about and completely disregarded the provable facts I gave them.
To put it simply I don't believe anything that group ( The TSB ) has to say about an accident.
Did the TSB sugar coat the Air Canada Halifax accident?

One wonders, Chuck. And the corporate culture says blame others -- sue Airbus.
I am happy the NTSB is investigating the near miss in SFO.
I hope they throw the book at AC either the pilots or their SOP's that led to a near horrific disaster, notwithstanding the bleating AC apologists on these Canadian forums, calling it a total "non event". Right. That's why the NTSB is investigating. Ever heard of denial? That attitude and arrogance will burn them one day. Big time. When I've posted that I'm called an "AC hater".
That's a logical response.
The fact of the matter -- --- is some love pointing the fingers at the Asian airlines, refuse to look at the facts while holding up AC as the worldwide standard for safety.
Google AC incidents / accidents, which if not for a miracle or 2 would be shockingly worse.
Then google an average Asian airline like Cathay. Zero, Count em, accidents, for a supposedly dangerous Asian airline flying worldwide.

It never ceases to amaze me the state of denial Rockie, atphat and a few others on Avcanada hold onto.
Like you I am glad that investigation is being held by the NTSB rather than the in my personal opinion the biased TSB in Canada.
To bad those Air Canada defenders will not join this group and discuss the subject without the Avcanada protection.
It really gives me a bit of a laugh when Rockie points out how out of touch I am with aviation and how little I know about flying.
What do you think the chances of them joining this group is?

Internet arguments are a colossal waste of time.
The arrogant attitudes assuming they extend into the management suite on the other hand, are somewhere between concerning and scary.
No one is immune from a lack of respect for risk. No one.
