I flew to Rapid City ND once.

Fortunately there was no sign of either that bad music or the supercell in the video.

Crazy Horse monument was just being re-started, it looks better from the air than Rushmore because it is huge and at the time there was no minimum distance you had to be away from it.

Later on when we left it was really hot. On departure I was climbing out and it felt like we were not going to be over the chain link fence by the time we got there. I'm sure we were fairly high, possibly fifty feet but having never been that close before, it felt like only a few. We were at maximum gross of course.

Heading east the Air Force base gave me a Traffic advisory, unknown type unknown altitude. Turned out to be what I can only describe as a swarm of birds. Thousands of them.

Man I feel like a pussy for being cautious and not flying to Houston today.
