There is talk of two new restorations now that the Spit is done. Hurricane and a Hind. The Hind is interesting , biplane with a baby V12.

If you squint you can see in the hind a little bit of hurricane no ?
Absolutely, normal for engineers to keep building on what works. The Hind and the Hurricane are both in the hanger with partially completed wings and fuse and you can clearly see the similarities. For example the wing spars are almost identical, a sort of octagonal faceted tube riveted to a sheet of webbing and then to another octagonal faceted tube to make up the I-beam spar, same in both aircraft.
The V12 engines are similar but the Kestrel predates the Merlin and looks like its baby brother.
