I'm sorry it hurts your feelings when people express opinions that don't agree with yours.
It doesnt....
Perhaps you should start a club for those who have bent metal and swapped paint... you and big pistons can profess to the masses about how the paint swapping club is better to be in than the non paint swapping club.

40+ years of flying, no bent metal or paint scraped,
but no one has been shooting at me (that I know of).
Rules for the club have to be different for people
that have been shot at (and hit).
Anyone can fly an airplane if there's no one shooting
at you. Wasn't there a guy in india that got his CPL
with 35 minutes of dual?

The thing about having some bent metal on your record is it will always eat at you what you could have done different.
+1 for the above.
Unfortunately, I cannot claim membership of this club. I could claim that I was under instruction, and not PIC - but I was manipulating the controls at the time.
Was it my fault? Legally, no -- but was there things I could have done differently? Absolutely.
Almost gave up on tailwheel conversion because of my incident - but went back to it.
I also learned a TON that day, and thinking about it afterwards - and thanks to those who let me talk and sort my head out.

I once bent a tow bar that was still attached to my Cessna 172.. Does that make me ineligible? :P
