There's a reason all Indonesian Airlines were on the EU blacklist until recently (Including Garuda).

There's zero safety culture in this country - the local culture is also not compatible with what's required for the safe operation of aircraft.

Expect more of the same.

I love how the accident report reads like every fluffed-out cover letter ever written.  I assume (hope?) this was all picked up in translation but it still makes me chuckle a little.

Asian culture at it's finest! Having seen how things work in Korea my guess is that they called Operations who then told them what to do.

This indication gives a red LAND ASAP message on the ECAM memo - it means just that!

It will all be covered up by the Regulator - quite normal in Asia.
