I don't know if it's the "coolest" 172 but I like it.

The video does not justify the use of slightly over sized tires they call "tundra tires". Love that paint though!

My old stomping grounds.
A lot fun area to fly. Saw tones of mil hardware, partly because I was in them.
Dave, that video I posted on AvCanada a few years ago was the same area, Dog Island, FL. Just S-E of Tyndal AFB.
The long paved strip that looked like it was reclaimed into the bay is Dauphin Island, AL. Great date location.

I like 172s with what you might call more of a utilitarian paint scheme. But anything that's not freaking white is all right with me!

Of course 172s are cool, it doesn't matter what you ride as long as you ride.

True, I'm thinking of wandering by and doubling my flight time this year over last year.

Yeah, that looked like a great place to camp.

If I had a 172, I would have to paint it as
a tribute to the Fandango jumper dumper:
Not sure many people know of Truman Sparks.
