Listen up, I’m allowing political stuff on here for the sake of Canada’s future. On this thread only !
This is important for Canada. If the Liberals think they can install Carney as PM just like the Dems did with Kamala it’s time to fight back.
It’s FREE to sign up, you DO NOT need to be a citizen or even resident.
Sign up and vote for Freeland, she stands little chance of actually winning a general election and you don’t need to vote liberal anyway.
You have about 10 hours to register. Tell your friends register your dog ! once again the party is trying to stack their election in an undemocratic.
way.

I learned that trick from the Left down here. They register as Republicans
and funnel millions of dollars to the most unlikely candidate to win, in an
attempt to divide their opposition. I don't think it's illegal ... I was thinking
of registering as a Democrat and voting for the craziest candidate but I
couldn't figure out which one that was. They were all batshit crazy.
In some places, you know the outcome already (Democrat or Republican)
so the election is actually decided in the party primary, in the back rooms
of the party powerbrokers.
To quote Nancy Pelosi (speaking about AOC) - "A glass of water with a
blue D on it, could win in her district"

Just signed up.
I've done it before provincially (had to pay $10 for that one). Although last time it didn't alter the course it felt pretty good.

I kind of doubt it matters. I think Pollievre is on track to win the next election. I mean every election where the PM bails and another leader is installed means control of parliament shifts. See the short prime minister tenures of Paul Martin, and John Turner and Kim Campbell. For better or worse, Canadian politics seems pretty predictable. I think Pollievre, if he follows tradition will have a majority government, followed by an election where he has a minority one in approximately four years, maybe a coalition on after than, then step down and some flunkie take his place to lose to the liberals. I mean, if he follows precedent.
In some places, you know the outcome already
Yeah, I think 70% of elections in the US run unopposed, which is kind of crazy, but then there perhaps is an exhaustion with electoral politics among the populace. You have to vote for everyone down there, which is good and bad. Here it hardly matters either. I got to vote directly for Stephen Harper and this riding votes like 80% conservative. It doesn't matter who I vote for, there's enough reliably conservative voters in every riding I've ever lived in that they might as well run unopposed, at least in federal politics.
Speaking of deceptive election techniques, every Albertan shouldn't forget how our current premier Daniel Smith crossed the floor from the Wild Rose party when we had a chance at a better opposition here, which I think shouldn't be able to happen. If you want to leave your party, given the nature of party politics, I think you should have to run again in a snap election and the voters can choose whether they still want you with your new views.

Good luck getting Pierre a majority government in the next election!
He is going to be your best Prime Minister, in at least the last 100 years.
PS. Don't get cranked about The Donald. I find him hilarious.
