A distinguished 4-bar was asked to fly a friends Cessna 170A from San Marcos, TX to Louisville, KY this week.

9.7 hours later, no worse for the wear... this old gal arrived.

One of my favourite aircraft...

I had a 54 'B' model.

I would like to submit a “We were inverted.” joke about one of the photos.

I can’t figure out how to quote the picture.

Also, that looks like a nice day of flying.

So , you would have us believe that a 4 Bars can actually fly a tailwheel aircraft!
It stretches creditability, but gives us all hope.
The next claim will no doubt be that a 4 bar has flown inverted...

I only have a few hours in a 170, but it was really a nice flying aircraft.

That little lady is going to end up in Alaska ultimately. The owners are going to truck it up there, since their collective experience is quite low, for such a long adventure.

I’d love to head that way with the wife one day, but thanks to ‘rona, it’ll be shelved for a few years.
